Summer.... it's finally here and boy did it come in with a bang! The heat wave seems to have subsided and I'm glad so that now we can finally get out there and enjoy the great outdoors.
I'm so grateful that we took the time last summer to pull our porch together, because a year later we're still enjoying it every day. All that seating sure did pay off - the seats always seem to be full because we spend so much time out there together.
Lots of easy organizing helps us grab and go to play croquet, bocce ball or even a game of frisbee. We love playing outdoor games, so I just keep them right on the porch ready to go.
And, of course, you have to have some pillows for color and comfort. Curling up on the bench with a book is my idea of a wonderful way to waste an afternoon.
